Job Description

 A reputable Company in Beirut is seeking to hire an HR Officer.

Main Duties:

  • Ensuring the proper implementation of Company Waste Management strategy, policies and procedures.
  • Implementing the strategy for the HR Department in line with Company Waste Management overall organizational strategy.
  • Implementing and maintaining the company HR policies, procedures and other related infrastructure documentation.
  • Maintaining knowledge of Company Waste Management policies and procedures.
  • Communicating and interpreting Company Waste Management policies and procedures with Management and staff.
  • Displaying a high degree of professionalism and integrity as befitting a member of Management.
  • Ensuring the proper management of employees files and payroll process of the Lebanese Laborers and regular employees, ensuring fair implementation of Labor Law and company rules.
  • Following up and monitors the company’s disciplinary actions given to employees and terminations decisions.
  • Assuming responsibility for continual use and update of HR tools that promote healthy working environment.
  • Interviewing personnel; recommends improvements and corrective actions to increase efficiency and improve productivity; consults with legal practitioners to ensure compliance with governmental laws and regulations.
  • Creating a work environment that minimizes turnover and maximizes retention; through supporting and administering an effective employee retention program and creating programs and events to foster a positive work environment for all employees.
  • Reviewing and makes recommendations as appropriate to Management to improve HR practices.
  • Establishing and maintains close working relationships with all departments to ensure maximum cooperation and productivity.
  • Promoting goodwill by being courteous, friendly and helpful to Managers and fellow employees.
  • Ensuring effective recruitment process  
  • Monitoring the activities of the NSSF section.
  • Complying with the applicable Health and Safety procedures, and requirements provided during trainings and as listed in the OHS Policies and Procedures; reporting occurrences, violations and acts that may affect staff safety.
  • Performing other tasks and activities as requested.

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management from a four-year university.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in HR Development
  • Ability to speak, read and write English and Arabic fluently
  • Very good knowledge of local governmental laws pertaining to HR
  • Effective business writing skills
  • Very good skills in personal computer operation, word processing and spreadsheet software
  • Very good supervisory skills, good judgement and common sense
  • Ability to select, train, motivate, evaluate personnel and recommend proper disciplinary action when need be
  • Very good organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated team building experience
  • Friendly and courteous deportment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to interact with staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information
